The short version: there's nothing to police. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Below is the honest, complete list of what actually touches a server when you use a Trident Tools page — no more, no less.

There is nowhere to register on this site, no login, and no user database. We don't ask for your name, email, or any other personal information to use any tool here, and we have no way to identify you across visits.
We don't run Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising script. We don't set cookies. We don't fingerprint devices. There is no dashboard on our end showing who visited what, because nothing writes that data anywhere we can read it.
Every calculator on this site — the film budget builder, the aspect-ratio tool, the export estimator — runs entirely in client-side JavaScript. The numbers, ratios, and choices you enter are never sent to a server; they're used to run the math directly in your browser and displayed back to you.
The Indie Film Budget Calculator saves your in-progress budget and named scenarios to your browser's own localStorage so your work survives a page refresh. That storage lives only on your device — it is not synced, uploaded, or visible to us. Clearing your browser data clears it. The "Save file" / "Open file" buttons write and read a plain .json file through your browser's normal file picker; that file goes only where you choose to save it.
CSV, JSON, and PDF exports are generated locally in your browser (PDF via your browser's native print dialog) and download straight to your device — none of it passes through our servers.
This site is served by Cloudflare Workers. Like essentially any website, Cloudflare's edge network logs standard request metadata for every request — IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp, and response status — as part of operating the network (performance, abuse and DDoS mitigation, uptime). This is Cloudflare's standard infrastructure logging, governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We don't layer any analytics on top of it, and we don't pull reports from it to track individual visitors — it exists for keeping the site online, not for watching you use it.
Most pages on this site (the hub, the aspect-ratio tool, the export estimator, the Cut Commander product page) load the Space Grotesk and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts' CDN (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). That's a genuine third-party request: Google's font servers receive your IP address and user agent for that request, under Google's privacy policy. No cookies are set by this request, and it carries no data about what you typed into any calculator — but it is real network traffic to a third party, and we'd rather tell you than let "nothing leaves your browser" quietly stop being true.
The Indie Film Budget Calculator is the one exception: it uses only system fonts already on your device and makes zero external font requests. If avoiding any third-party request matters to you, that page delivers on "nothing leaves your browser" literally, including fonts.

If what this site collects or sends ever changes — a new tool with different behavior, for instance — this page will be updated to match before that change ships, not after. Check the "last updated" date above.
